Helpful Administrator and Free Photos To Download

I received an email from the owner of Download Free Photos a few weeks ago asking to take a look at their site. The site is pretty new and the collection of photos isn’t that great but something else drives me to make a post to this site. Very much due to the webmaster, Alex.

I needed some photos as the background of my new site but the site Alex send me does not contain any. Hence, I send back a request asking Alex to send me some background that particularly suit my needs. I would say that 9 out of such requests will not receive replies and the 1 reply maybe something like will get back to me. Alex is different. He replied me with some high resolution backgrounds for my site =) This simple act of giving has amazed me!

I would like to use this post to thank Alex again and recommend his site to you if you are looking for some free photos. Do bookmark this site and visit them again as they are adding new photos to the collection frequently.

To Alex: I have a suggestion for you to further improve the value that your site is giving – add in a request form to allow your visitors to request for the type of images they are looking for. This will create a high return visit percentage of visitors to your site. Continue to do awesome job and serve your customers well =)

EC Mania Template

EC Mania is one of the simplest and most eye-catching templates out of the other high standard pack. This template is short in length and has done a good job in separating various elements to help readers to scan through and identify the significant parts of the site.

Another free template I would like to highlight is the E16 The Fashion Club. This template has a big header that captures the immediate attention of your readers. An appropriate header will set the correct mood instantly but this is a two-edge sword. Utilize this template to your advantage.

The only suggestion I have for you if you decide to use this template is that you may want to enlarge the font sizes of this template as the default font size is too small in my opinion.

Free Quality Icons Download (One of the best hidden sites)

This site should deserve more publicity as it is one of the best sites that I have seen so far that contains top quality icons. No kidding, you will never know how many slick design icons you have missed until you have visited FreeIconsDownload =)

Different version of icons available

The site is carefully categorized into popular sections such as Application, Business, Food, Funny and Sports just to name a few. With more than 17 categories and hundreds of selected icons, I find it very easy for me to locate any icons that I want.

You are also able to download different version of the icons from the site. The three versions available for download are Windows, Mac and Linux.

Most of the icons’ creator would require you to provide a link back to them. This is definitely worth the effort after seeing most of the icons you can download there. The following are some of the icon set that I like very much!
